The MCC Sustainability Group is an informal group of like-minded faculty, staff and students at Monroe Community College, Rochester NY. The MCC Sustainability Group seeks to raise awareness of environmental and energy issues in the college and local community. In particular, the Sustainability Group is concerned with the rising costs of energy and the imminence of a peak in global oil production, and hopes to initiate a conversation and agenda that will help both Monroe Community College and the Greater Rochester (New York) community prepare for a future of scarcer energy, limited mobility, and dependence on local resources.
